Summary

It has been over a century since the discovery of insulin and we are still without a cure. That is why the JDCA was formed and is focused solely on facilitating the development of a Practical Cure for type 1 by 2025.

The JDCA is uniting a paradigm-shifting Alliance of donors who will work together to target resources toward research opportunities that have the potential to develop a Practical Cure by 2025. We are utilizing a novel business-like and practical approach to type 1 diabetes cure research in order to enhance the accountability and productivity of charitable organizations that fund thousands of research opportunities each year. We believe many obstacles obstruct the development of a Practical Cure, such as the lack of a cure definition and timeline. It is our goal to remove these obstacles and help donors communicate their intentions to charitable organizations so that their contributions are allocated entirely to type 1 Practical Cure research.
